Jeanine's Bio
Twenty years ago, Jeanine Calabria was a pastry chef attaching the fragile necks of pâte au choux swans to their calorie laden pastry cream bodies.
Today you'll find her soaking seaweed in her sink for salad and simmering mineral broth on her stove for her next cooking class. What led to this change in focus?
She started cooking for relatives and friends who were recovering from surgeries and chronic illnesses and watched the dramatic impact nourishing food had on their well-being. Tangentially her own health benefited greatly by this change in focus, she began her quest for learning all she could about nourishing foods.
Jeanine has been cleansing for fifteen years and has trained with Halé Sofia Schatz, author of If the Buddha Came to Dinner. She has an M.A. in adult learning and intercultural management from the School for International Training which provides the experiential foundation for conducting her cleanse and cooking programs.
Jeanine resides in Eastern Massachusetts with her husband and three children. She enjoys gardening, biking, and traveling. She is currently at work on a Family's Spiritual Cookbook.
